Found this old church window in my alleyway, the land of sweet shit to paint on, and decided what better than a religious painting to go with my window. Watch out for Jesus's sawed off...
So I spent a little time in Aspen and it sucks. Rich fucks think they own you and everything around them. I think this painting best describes the karma those snooty fucks will feel one day. Just keep being better than everyone else and know it.
We are so lucky to be able to interpret something as anything. Just one example: You see a bird. It could be just a bird. It could be a hunting challenge. It could be a sign of peace. You decide.
You know, I wonder when the amazing experience of human interaction will be extinct. This is a photo of two people I saw talking to each other on their cells while they were two inches from each others faces. I used a really strange lens, thats why it looks like a painting.
A while ago I decided to try a small format painting on canvas, and this is what came out of it. Just like a team of people trying to work together on something, the hand is only functional when all the digits work together. . . otherwise it is just a blunt object. Not so useful.
Sometimes commercial art makes me feel like everyone who has ever bought anything because of a label is a walking talking human billboard. What if billboards did the speaking when we slept?
I suck at updates. But I am going to try, I promise. This isn't an excuse, but I had my camera stolen about a year ago, so there was no way to photo the paintings. OK. That was an excuse.
Anywho, here is a painting Eric Deuel, Shay Vision, Pat, and I worked on in San Diego this last weekend. It was totally inspiring to work on the same board with these guys...
